RFM22B is a low-cost ISM transceiver module which offers communication at 433/470/868/915MHz frequency band. It has low receiver sensitivity (-120 dBm) and it provides +20dBm output power which ensures the extend range for wireless communication.
It supports data rate up to 256 kbps. It has low power mode which helps in reducing the power consumption. It has integrated low power detector to monitor battery level of a rechargeable battery. It has additional features such as an automatic wake-up timer, automatic frequency calibration, preamble detection which allows it to use a low-cost microcontroller.
It operates on supply voltage range of 1.8 V to 3.6V.
It is used for applications such as Tag readers, Health monitors, Sensor networks, Industrial control, Home automation, Remote keyless entry, Remote meter reading etc.
